store that has grown into one of the oldest businesses in the Spokane, Washington
area. Since the beginning, Country Homes Building Supply was truly a family
affair. Son John Selden was involved with the store for many years before
branching off the power equipment department into a separate building. And
Margaret's sister Dot and brother Joe also worked along side the Selden
family during the company's early years. Niles Selden is the current store
president while his son Jeff Selden is the current Vice President.After fifty years at the North Division 'Y', the year 1997 was a momentous year for our store. We
celebrated
our fiftieth year in business and the christening of our newly expanded
and improved store at our present location on East Francis. Jeff Selden
designed much of the new building with improved customer service in mind.
The new location features an expanded 16,000 square foot, climate controlled
warehouse that provides a comfortable setting for shoppers. Additionally
customers now have a more visible and easily accessible showroom with doors,
windows, moldings, roofing, siding samples and more. We take pride in having experienced and knowledgeable people working at our store. Our goal is to ensure a successful experience for each customer that walks through the door, calls us on the phone, or sends us an email. With 25,000 square feet of sales and storage space, we have upgraded our computer system to enable our staff and delivery people to make accurate deliveries in a timely manner.
